About Aimee
Aimee incorporates metal, fiber and various found objects into her large, vivid works. Paintings are infused with layers of paper, wax mediums and collage elements often torn from their original site and reapplied elsewhere in the work. She uses the female body as her subject matter, striving to impart impressions of physical strength, confidence and fortitude into her figures. Her mission is to use these images to encourage young women to break the cycle of determining personal value by way of "physical beauty" alone.
Thirteen years of video, animation and graphic design have inspired current projects including installations employing multimedia, painting and illustration to create a stimulating and speculative environment for the viewer.
She resides in Ridgefield, Connecticut with her family.
